The fall season has arrived and soon everyone will start wearing jackets and sweaters. After a long summer season where many of us felt obligated to keep up with our self-care regimen, it may be tempting to let it all go during the fall months. However, keep in mind that self-care is important no matter the season. After a long day or week at work, you may find it difficult to relax and clear your mind of the various job-related or other concerns. The good news is, there is a number of different ways to pamper yourself after work that will help you quickly reinvigorate yourself.


Eat Your Favorite Comfort Foods
During the day at work, people are usually very busy. So, they settle for whatever food is easily available. If you have been eating leftovers in the microwave all day or week, you deserve a nice meal after work. Whether you cook your favorite comfort food yourself or dine out at the restaurant of your choice, give yourself something that you will really enjoy. Go for a Walk or Run Before it Gets Dark
Going for a walk or run is one of the best things you can do after work this fall. Physical movement is an excellent tool for getting in touch with your senses. It can boost your mood, reduce certain health risks, and also strengthen your muscles. Ideally, you will want to go for a walk outdoors before it gets dark and choose the most natural setting possible for it. If you live in a city, a nearby park is a recommended choice. Studies suggest that going for a walk on regular basis can have a great impact on both quality and longevity of life.


Take a Hot Bath
Another way to pamper yourself after work this fall is to relax in a hot bath. It doesn’t have to be a costly bath bomb; soaking in Epsom salt is enough. Epsom salt helps alleviate muscle inflammation and tension and promotes blood circulation. After a long soak, take a step further by deep exfoliating via Korean body mitts. You can also follow your hot bath with a long massage, using either an essential oil blend or a lightweight moisturizing oil. It will relax your muscles and you will feel great both inside and out.


Read a Book
Even though it hasn’t been scientifically proven, many people consider reading to be therapeutic. No matter what you like, e.g. personal development book, fantastical story, thriller, etc. you can get benefits from reading it in more ways than you can imagine. Reading improves concentration and focus, improves your vocabulary, stimulates the brain, and takes you to another world. You will surely feel relaxed after reading a book. It’s a tried and tested method many people use to unwind after a long day at work.
